Surviving my past poetry for open link night at D-verse

In the past, I survived

Through pain and strife

But in the end, triumph

And hope for a new life

Healing came slowly

Through psychotherapy

Addressing my PTSD

And the depths of my emotions

My story is one of scars

And wounds that run deep

But through it all, I’ve learned

To embrace the journey and keep

The past may haunt me

But I am stronger now

With each step forward

I find peace somehow

So here I stand, a survivor

With a heart full of grace

Embracing my past

And the challenges I face.
