I am participating in Paulas 3 things challenge today.
Todays prompt: lozenge, mission, raincoat
My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to go outside, dance in the rain, with my raincoat on, despite coughing, and spluttering all morning.
I can take a lozenge for my throat!
My mission now, is to embrace the day, go out there, and conquer the world!
Weather and all!
And just dont worry if storm Garrett is here!
So now I am off downstairs, to make some toast, and a cup of coffee!
I’ve already had two cups this morning!
Decided that I will participate in Paulas 3 things challenge today. So here goes.
Todays prompt is: Sandwich, cloud, legend
Legend has it that bacon sandwiches are one of the nicest things to eat. I do have to agree. That is what I ate yesterday evening, a bacon sandwich, boiled bacon. Have you ever had boiled bacon? In ireland that is how we make it, when we eat it. Its wonderful. Salty, and so tasty. Nothing like a leftover bacon sandwich with some hot sauce on it.
Then I looked outside and up at the sky, at the clouds.
Rain, rain and more rain!
It bucketed down! Looks like the weather is not going to cooperate with us!
Well, I shall just sit and eat my bacon sandwich, and enjoy the view!
I am going to participate in the 3 things challenge for today that Paula is running!
Todays prompt: kangaroo, light bulb, taco
The baby kangaroo hopped around, he was so tired of life. His mom was always busy! He just wanted to go exploring! Where can I go, he thought. What can I get into!
Suddenly a thought hit him, I know, I can change the light bulb!
I dont know how to and I have never tried, but I can learn!
So off he went in search of tools! His mom was going to be pleased that her son was wanting to help around the house, he thought.
Yay for a new adventure! Just as he was devising a plan, his mom called him, joey, dinner time! We’re having tacos…your favourite!
The mention of tacos brought him running, all thoughts of that light bulb gone!
I tried this before. I found it really useful then so decided that for the month of march, I will do a little challenge, join in if you wish.
The challenge is to write a daily post listing some things you love about yourself. Could be one thing, or a number of things.
I am going to write a daily post, so I hope you will do it too!
Join me on this wonderful love yourself month of march!
My nephew is so funny. At the weekend, this was his comment upon seeing me in bed…
Mom, Shirley doesnt look fat in the bed…
What a way to boost my confidence!
But then again he’s six!
Cute boy he is! 😀

Todays Prompt: Write a piece using the phrase;explicit emotion
her eyes leak
as she sits
shaking like a leaf
it builds and builds
its a tornado
written all over her face
fear, so so much fear
she grips the table
as her head swims
everything begins to blurr
she starts to remember
holding her breath
she starts to cry again
but that fear
the fear of knowing but not wanting to know
what happened to her
is so real
And she thinks
She’s going to die from it.
Shirley, our host wrote this poem, in response to thinking about her childhood and what happened to her during it.
Todays prompt: chemistry, blanket, mailbox
wrapping her arms around herself like a blanket
walking out into the cool brisk air
she walks to the mail box
softly singing a tune
would it be there?
The letter from him?
would she feel the chemistry between them
When she picked it up
And read the words?
She skipped lightly down the sidewalk
And when she got to the mailbox
to her huge surprise
Instead of the letter she’d been expecting
There he was
Tall dark and handsome
Gosh he was so handsome
There he was
Waiting, and as they embraced
He smiled, she smiled
The happiest smile
