#SoCs Dec. 8th Musical!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “musical.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

One of my fave genres to listen to is musical theatre. I love it.

Maybe because I was in stage school for years, I have so many wonderful memories of stage school, of performing, and I made so many amazing friends. I highly recommend it.

I also have been to many shows. I love going to the theatre. Musicals are my absolute favourite!

One I love that came out recently is the greatest showman!

This song from the movie means so much to me!

#SoCs-mean, mean!

This week, LIndas prompt for socs is mean!

Tonight the kids are telling me I am mean! The littles, in our system, that is!

Why am I mean?

Because I wont let them eat junk food! Chocolate, crisps, cake, nooo, not having that!

What I want, and what they want, are totally different!

They want to binge on junk food because they miss Eileen and, you know, eating chocolate and crisps will make them feel good! Not happening!

I miss Eileen too but…there are better ways to cope!

Eating junk food will just lead to binging, I know it!

So, we will distract from the pain of Eileen being gone in other ways, like, for example, watching some X factor on tv, the kids love that show! Or I will maybe read my book later this evening and try to finish it! Its an anthology of true crime stories! So pretty intense, pretty dark! But I’m almost through reading it! I have an hour and 40 mins left to read on it!

Im now drinking a cuppa! Tea makes everything better, as Emily always says!

#SoCs-Tired to the bone!

Today I feel exhausted! Despite having gotten a good sleep last night!

I am just, tired to the bone!

I think a nap is in order!

Im reluctant to try to nap though as if I do it will only mess me up for tonight. I’m on a pretty decent sleep schedule nowand I’d like to try to keep it that way!

Maybe I will have an hour later on this afternoon though. I don’t have anything I need to do tomorrow. So if I go to bed late tonight it wont really matter!

Im having a chill out day at home tomorrow! Cant wait! I love days where I can kick back and just relax!

So much for my extra hour? Nitro put an end to that 😛

He was nudging me at 7:30 this morning wanting out!

I really hope they change it here in Europe, so that day light savings time isn’t observed any more!

That would be so awesome if they did!

Just got done eating a nice sunday roast, roast chicken, roast potatos, broccoli and mashed potatos! It was scrumptious if I do say so!

I thoroughly enjoyed it! I even saved some gravy to give to nitro when he’s fed in a little while! Call it a late birthday treat!

My boy deserves a treat! And I have a bone for him for later tonight! He’s spoiled! How it should be though right?

Well I’m off to read some more so catch yall later!

see ya!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Oct. 27/18

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “flower/flour.” Use one, use both, it’s totally up to you. Enjoy!

After you’ve written your Saturday post tomorrow, please link it here to this week’s prompt page and check to make sure it’s here in the comments so others can find it and see your awesome Stream of Consciousness post. Anyone can join in!

Here are the rules:

1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing (typos can be fixed), and minimal planning on what you’re going to write.

2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.

3. I will post the prompt here on my blog every Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a subject. For instance, I will not say “Write about dogs”; the prompt will be more like, “Make your first sentence a question,” “Begin with the word ‘The,’” or will simply be a single word to get you started.

4. Ping back! It’s important, so that I and other people can come and read your post! For example, in your post you can write “This post is part of SoCS:” and then copy and paste the URL found in your address bar at the top of this post into yours.  Your link will show up in my comments for everyone to see. The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top. NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, such as Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

5. Read at least one other person’s blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read all of them! If you’re the first person to link back, you can check back later or go to the previous week by following my category, “Stream of Consciousness Saturday,” which you’ll find below the “Like” button on my post.

6. Copy and paste the rules (if you’d like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers you’ll meet and the bigger your community will get!

7. As a suggestion, tag your post “SoCS” and/or “#SoCS” for more exposure and more views.

8. Have fun!

I love to bake. Muffins, cookies, brownies, I love it all.
Unfortunately I am dieting so baking has fallen by the wayside. I wish I could do it more often.
I do cook though. I like to try slimming world meals out. I just dont make cakes or cookies or anything sweet.
I could, there are plenty of slimming world desserts I could try out. I just dont. I guess I am too lazy.
I enjoy when other can eat what I’ve made though. I like to show off my skills, who doesnt? 😛
Since I did the independent living skills course last year, I’ve come on in leaps and bounds with my baking. I really loved the cooking module in that course. We made so many beautiful things.
I must have used occeans of flour! I think I made scones so many times that I can now do it in my sleep!
Blindfolded, ha ha! Since I am blind, there’ll be no need for that! 😀
But anyway. Any afternoon I can spend in the kitchen russling up desserts or cakes, is a good afternoon. Anyone for a cookie? 😛

#SoCs September 15th: Post

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “post.” Use it as a word, or find a word that uses it as a prefix. Have fun!
Post. Four little letters. But oh so important when you blog. Writing a post, the important bit of blogging. Making that first post is always hard, but once you do it, once you get started, you never look back. At least, thats how it was for me.

I love my blog. I love writing posts. I love the interactions with other readers. I love it all. I am so so glad I started blogging. It has really changed my life in so many great ways.

Whether its a post about cooking or a recipe, a quote, a general life update, a post about therapy, or my psychiatrist apts, all of my posts mean something to me. All of them are special to me. I hope they mean something to others too.

Its so wonderful when other writers read my posts and comment and or like them. I get a buzz every time I see a like or comment come through. I never stop getting that buzz. I love it.

Well I’ll catch yall later guys! Happy reading!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Sept. 15/18

#Stream of consciousness Saturday post on a sunday?

this week…Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “bodily function.” Decide on one or write about a whole bunch of bodily functions.

I’m gonna write about two…vomit, and sneezing!

Does nitro being sick qualify, even though he’s a dog?

I’ll chance it lol. His vomiting finally subsided after a day. So now he’s right as rain again! Thank god!

But on Saturday my dads dog got sick! He was also vomiting, during the night, in his bed, and my dad bc he has bad eyesight, just picked up his bed and blankets and put them away and if it wasnt for my mom noticing the vomit we’d have never known he was ill!

As for sneezing, I’ve been doing a helluva lot of it today! I hope I am not going to get a summer cold! Maybe I am allergic to something in the air? Or dog hair? Or dust particles? Who knows! Its so annoying though to constantly feel as if your gonna sneeze!

Well thats my little stream of consciousness take on bodily functions, hope you enjoyed!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS August 11/18

Lindas prompt for SoCs this week is…organ.

One Christmas when I was 8 I got an organ as a gift. I loved it. It was a huge organ, on a stand. I would sit for hours playing it, I think that Is where my love of music started. All my little friends would come in the house in to my bedroom and we’d have contests and competitions to see who could play the best. I’m sure it drove my mom crazy but she was a good sport about it. I had that organ for years. I cant actually remember what happened to it. I must have outgrown it at some point though. It is one of my childhood memories that I treasure. I went on to learn piano and I think my love of the piano all started when I would bang tunes out on my organ.
Those were very happy days.
