Under duress, Sarah found herself running through the dark alleyways of the city, her heart pounding in her chest. She had never imagined herself in this situation, but here she was, being chased by unknown assailants. The sound of footsteps echoed behind her, pushing her to run faster.
As she turned a corner, Sarah stumbled upon an old abandoned building and made a split-second decision to hide inside. The building was musty and decrepit, with broken windows and graffiti covering the walls. She found a small room in the back and squeezed herself into a corner, trying to control her breathing.
Minutes passed like hours as Sarah waited in silence, the fear of being discovered weighing heavily on her mind. Suddenly, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching the room. Panic set in as she realized she had nowhere to run.
Just as the door creaked open, a beam of light illuminated the room, revealing a figure standing in the doorway. It was a young man, his face filled with concern. "Are you okay?" he asked, extending a hand to help her up.
Relief washed over Sarah as she realized she was safe. She had been in duress, but now she was finally free.
Yay!

I’m sorry I personally couldn’t read this one, even though you take the trouble to read all of mine ~ it’s not a value judgment on your work, but only that I’ve topped up on the kind of experience you’re describing here, probably for life!
