Your prompt for JusJoJan January 13th 2023, is “reversal.” Use the word “reversal” any way you’d like. Enjoy!
Ok! So my Mom and I are doing a bit of role reversal!
She’s no longer able to do certain tasks, due to her COPD!
I can do them, so I’m doing them, just to help her out!
One such task I did last week was the dusting. Mom is no longer able to bend over and get down low to the ground to dust the fireplace, so I did it for her.
Another thing I did for her was take the sheets and pillow cases off of her bed. That activity is too strenuous for her now.
She was very grateful to me for my help.
I love my mom, because the one thing she taught me was how to be independent.
Even though I am blind, she never treated me as a disabled child, she always treated me just like everyone else, and for that, I’m very grateful.
I always did what the other kids around me were doing.
If they rode bikes, I rode a bike, when they were skating, I had skates too. If they were climbing on walls or trees, I did that too.
I had no fear.
I thank my mom every day for how she raised me.
I don’t mind our roles being reversed now. I figure my mom has been there for me throughout my life, always, and the least I can do is take care of things for her now when she’s not able to do it.
Good for you a little bit of role reversal never hurt anyone 💜💜
