5 facts about me

for my new readers, and my old readers too, here are 5 random facts about me.

I’ve been to disneyworld in florida twice. In 2008 and 2009. It was a lot of fun. something that if you can afford it I think everyone should go there.

I love the ocean. I love sitting listening to the waves crashing. I find it very peaceful.

I collect dvd’s. and cd’s. I enjoy movies and music very much.

I’ve had 3 guide dogs. Nitro is my 3rd dog. My other two were females. His personality is a lot different to the female dogs I had. He’s more cuddly and loving I think.

I like raising awareness about mental illness. I try to do it when I can. I’ve given talks and educated doctors on did and ptsd. Its something I’m passionate about.

What are some facts about you?

  1. I am a writer born and bred. I don’t easily communicate verbally.

I am a dog lover and had my childhood bestie fluff pot, Poppy for 17yrs. My childhood ambition was to be a guide dog trainer. Unfortunately I can’t as my hubby and eldest are both very allergic to dogs

I played the piano for 10yrs and hope to get a piano for my birthday

My happy place is the forest. The smell, the bird noises, the crackle of pine needles underfoot… and the way the sunlight dances between the leaves. Heaven. Second is definitely the sea. I lived on the promenade of Peel on the Isle of Man for a while. The sun used to set behind the ruined castle. It was utterly magical. We could sit and watch and hear and smell the waves crashing against the cliffs and beach when there was a storm from our lounge window. Divine.

I have French ancestry on my father’s side (town in France named after my ancestors) and on my mother’s side we’re related to the Cromwells (Oliver Cromwell ran England when it was a commonwealth and Thomas Cromwell -his uncle- was Henry 8th’s chief advisor till he ummm… lost his head. As you can see I’m also very in History and Genealogy.

Love reading your blog by the way and meeting all the lovely parts of your system xx

  2. Five facts about me:
    1. I’ve never lived out of the state of Texas, but want to very badly. I want to live on the road in an RV, traveling the USA and seeing all the sights.
    2. I’m a dog lover, I’ve had many over the years. I was mauled as a child at age 2 and was afraid of dogs until I met a dachshund that some people were giving away and my mom took him just so I would out grow my fear of dogs, I did. And I have had all sized dogs since, I’m not afraid of them at all.
    3. I have longed to be a writer, but I can’t seem to get anything lengthy written, I can write poetry when the mood strikes me and was commissioned to write a poem for a tiny Texas Town.
    4. I like to shoot guns. Target practice. I grew up around guns and know how to handle them. I respect them, that is the most important thing to do when handling one.
    5. I’ve been married to my 2nd husband for nearly 29 years. I married very young to my first husband, 17 and it did not last due to our immaturity. I had a son by him, but he dropped out of the picture completely and my 2nd husband adopted my son so he could carry the same last name as us and because my son wanted to be adopted and forget about the worthless piece of crap that was supposed to be his dad. I’m still bitter.

  3. My curent blog is not the only one I have written, I used to write a deaf blog for several years too till I decided to end it and move to the one I write now, of a different topic.

I like any any animals, as long as it’s the furry, four legs kind.

I have a dolphin on my left arm, that i had many years ago. It’s a symbol for peace to me and I love dolphins.

Although I am not near one, when I can, I like to be near or on the beach and watch the sea.

I like music and dvds too, although i have cut down the amount I own some years ago. Music I cut down on to allow for maybe new stuff later and dvds I just keep are those I know I will watch again.
