A pilgrimage

In the heart of the city, a pilgrimage begins

Through bustling streets and quiet alleys

Each step a journey, each breath a prayer

Seeking solace in the chaos of life

The path winds through memories and dreams

A tapestry of emotions woven with each stride

The destination unknown, but the journey cherished

In the silence of the soul, a pilgrimage unfolds

Footsteps echo on ancient cobblestones

Whispers of the past guiding the way

A pilgrimage of the heart, a quest for truth

In the city’s embrace, a pilgrimage begins.

Written for Sammy Cox’s weekend writing challenge, where this weekend the word is pilgrimage, and we are to write a piece using that word, in 93 words.
