chicken curry

Linda’s #SoCS prompt this week: Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “ch.” Find a word that starts with “ch” and use it as your prompt word. Bonus points if you start your post with that word. Enjoy!

chicken curry for dinner, leftovers from yesterday. I dont care. I love it. It has plenty of veg in it, so I’ll definitely get my vegetables in.  We used a curry powder, a slimmers one. it turned out really great though. and you can’t tell the difference, you really cant taste any difference in the sauce.  we’re having it with rice, and chips.  now i’m hungry. i can’t wait for dinner.

I think my moms watching a quiz on tv, tipping point. So we probably wont have dinner until thats over.  So will just have to entertain myself until then. A good time to read a little more of my book, me thinks.

#SOCS-Directions for a chill evening!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “directions.”
Ok, not many but..here they are, directions to chill out!
1. Pour a glass of wine.
2. Raid the fridge, see what good food there is to snack on.
3. Make your bedroom comfy.
4. Make sure your dog is close by.
5. Sit down, take a drink of your wine.
6. Snack, snack snack and enjoy the food!
7. Think about when the lockdown is all over, that you’ll go somewhere nice and sit on a beach and have a blast!
8. Take another slug of your wine! But dont let it go to your head!
9. Play some music, and dance.
10. Sing at the top of your lungs, as you dance, then sip on more wine, and then lay on your bed all comfy cosy and nod off!

#SOCS Beside you

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “beside you.” Write about whatever is beside you when you read this

I am sitting writing this post on my laptop while I am sitting on the bed in my bedroom at my parents house!
Beside me is a table, and on it there is a tv, which is broken, and a bottle of water which I am currently drinking!
I’ve drank a ton of water today! I love it!
On the other side of me is the wall, which is cold to the touch!
Its not a very exciting bedroom! It is my old room from when I lived here!
Well, as long as I have somewhere to plug in my phone, I’m good! And there are plugs next to me also so win win!

#stream of consciousness late but, your welcome to read!

Lindas prompt for us this week for stream of consciousness saturday is the word, welcome! She has challenged us to use welcome any way we want to just so long as we write in stream of consciousness format!

When all this social distancing is finally over, I will welcome being able to go places again, and being able to be with others!
I so want the summer to come! I hope the covid19 virus is gone by summer! Because I want to do fun stuff during the summer, not sit at home self isolating!
But it does look like the self isolation might go on into june! I hope not, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens! Its a very scary time for us all! I am so afraid!
We’ve had two more deaths this evening in ireland from covid19. That brings our total to six who have died. Not many I know but remember Irelands population is only 4.5 million.
We have over 1200 cases of covid19 now over here. The number is growing with each day that passes. My friend Pat who lives in Dublin told me his brother was tested for the virus, he doesnt know yet whether he’s contracted it or not. Hopefully he hasnt.
How are you coping with the social distancing and being at home? How do you find it?

#Socs: Wire!

Galloping across the garden
Tail waggling
Eyes bright
Running, jumping
As he collides with me
Panting, licking me
He’s like a live wire
Full of energy
He keeps me on my toes
My cute doodlebug
Or as I like to call him
My monster doodle
Its his nickname
And it suits him
As he nudges me with his wet nose
And I pat his head
I think about
How my life would be
If he wasnt in it
And I am so grateful each day
For my wonderful lab
His gentleness and gentle nature
Never ceases to amaze me
