#SoCs and JusJoJan for Jan 5th, sip!

That first sip of my cup of tea, yum! I need it too this morning!

I have a hangover! Oh no! I only had one drink last night, so how could I have a hangover? I really dont know how that happened!

I didnt sleep too good either. Sigh. I couldnt settle. I kept scrolling on my phone, scrolling on fb. And replying to email!

Now, 3 cups of tea later, I’m starting to feel human again.

At least I dont have to be anywhere today, or do anything, I can just relax. I was going to head home to my own house today from mom and dads, but my sister offered to take me tomorrow instead. So I opted to stay another night. I will save some money on taxi fares if she takes me.

So now its just a day for resting! Kicking back and relaxing!

So many great songs this year! I just heard on the radio this morning that the former president obama put hosier on his list of great songs for this year! I dont particularly like hosier myself, but he’s irish, so…yeah! Good that obama does!
I like a lot of this years music. Ed sheeran, arian grande, and my newest favourite, sweet but psycho by ava mac. I’m too lazy to link it here but…go look it up on youtube! Its a great tune! Very catchy!
This week our local radio station here in cork has been playing a top 5 at 5 each day. Each day they feature a different genre, I like listening to them.
Music is so cool. I couldnt live without it!
I have both apple music and amazon music. I’m totally addicted! Life isnt complete without music IMO!

We have a ton of chocolate in our house. Well, because its christmas! Chocolate is everywhere at christmas.

My fave are the tins of roses, cadburys roses. Yum yum!

My favourite kind of sweets in the tin are the ones with the nuts in them. Or the coffee ones. Oh heavenly doesnt even begin to cover how delicious I find them.

I am eating way too much chocolate though. My diet has gone out the window. But the thing I keep saying to comfort myself is, its christmas! Everyone has some treats at christmas time!

Did you know though the tins they use to use for roses, metal tins, they no longer use? Now they come in plastic tins! And another thing, all the wrappers on the sweets have changed too!

I still love them though! It doesnt deter me from eating them thats for sure!

One of my fave genres to listen to is musical theatre. I love it.

Maybe because I was in stage school for years, I have so many wonderful memories of stage school, of performing, and I made so many amazing friends. I highly recommend it.

I also have been to many shows. I love going to the theatre. Musicals are my absolute favourite!

One I love that came out recently is the greatest showman!

So yeah. This one I had to do when I saw it. Because, well, this week on friday I had a gorgeous bread roll, filled with turkey, cheese, and a lot of chili sauce too!
I was soooo baaaad!
I’m on a diet you see. I’m in slimming world. And I shouldnt be eating this sorta food at all! But my thing is, every once in a while for a treat, its fine!
You cant avoid the bad foods all of the time. Indulging is ok every now and then! Once its not every single day!
I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my bread roll too! It was humungus. Its like my friday thing now to get one. The last two fridays I did that. I enjoy a treat on a friday after my gym sesh!
Do you go to the gym, or do you enjoy a treat on a particular day of the week?
You only live once after all! Live and laugh and love and all that, right? Of course!

#SoCs-mean, mean!

This week, LIndas prompt for socs is mean!

Tonight the kids are telling me I am mean! The littles, in our system, that is!

Why am I mean?

Because I wont let them eat junk food! Chocolate, crisps, cake, nooo, not having that!

What I want, and what they want, are totally different!

They want to binge on junk food because they miss Eileen and, you know, eating chocolate and crisps will make them feel good! Not happening!

I miss Eileen too but…there are better ways to cope!

Eating junk food will just lead to binging, I know it!

So, we will distract from the pain of Eileen being gone in other ways, like, for example, watching some X factor on tv, the kids love that show! Or I will maybe read my book later this evening and try to finish it! Its an anthology of true crime stories! So pretty intense, pretty dark! But I’m almost through reading it! I have an hour and 40 mins left to read on it!

Im now drinking a cuppa! Tea makes everything better, as Emily always says!

Cooking! I opened a cookery book! I landed on the word cooking!

So cooking. Mom and me are going to cook this weekend. Not sure what we’ll make yet. We may make a chilli, or some butternut squash and carrot soup.

I have some slimming world recipe books in braille. I told mom I’d call out some of the recipes to her that is when I decide on what to make. That way I am helping too!

I love spending time with mom doing the cooking. We make lovely food, have quality mother daughter time, and most important, I have healthy food to eat for the week!

Now that I’m steadily losing weight again, I wanna keep it that way!

I am going to go now and look through my recipe book, comfort collection! See what comfort food I can come up with to make!
