#SoCs-mean, mean!

This week, LIndas prompt for socs is mean!

Tonight the kids are telling me I am mean! The littles, in our system, that is!

Why am I mean?

Because I wont let them eat junk food! Chocolate, crisps, cake, nooo, not having that!

What I want, and what they want, are totally different!

They want to binge on junk food because they miss Eileen and, you know, eating chocolate and crisps will make them feel good! Not happening!

I miss Eileen too but…there are better ways to cope!

Eating junk food will just lead to binging, I know it!

So, we will distract from the pain of Eileen being gone in other ways, like, for example, watching some X factor on tv, the kids love that show! Or I will maybe read my book later this evening and try to finish it! Its an anthology of true crime stories! So pretty intense, pretty dark! But I’m almost through reading it! I have an hour and 40 mins left to read on it!

Im now drinking a cuppa! Tea makes everything better, as Emily always says!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Nov. 10/18

#SoCs-point

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is point. Open a book on your lap, close your eyes, and put your finger on the page. Whatever you land on, whether it be a word, a phrase, or a sentence, write about it. Enjoy!

Here are the rules:

1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing (typos can be fixed), and minimal planning on what youre going to write.

2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry it doesnt matter. Just let the words carry you along until youre ready to stop.

3. I will post the prompt here on my blog every Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a subject. For instance, I will not say Write about dogs; the prompt will be more like, Make your first sentence a question, Begin with the word The, or will simply be a single word to get you started.

4. Ping back! Its important, so that I and other people can come and read your post! For example, in your post you can write This post is part of SoCS: and then copy and paste the URL found in your address bar at the top of this post into yours. Your link will show up in my comments for everyone to see. The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top. NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If youre self-hosted or are participating from another host, such as Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

5. Read at least one other persons blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read all of them! If youre the first person to link back, you can check back later or go to the previous week by following my category, Stream of Consciousness Saturday, which youll find below the Like button on my post.

6. Copy and paste the rules (if youd like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers youll meet and the bigger your community will get!

7. As a suggestion, tag your post SoCS and/or #SoCS for more exposure and more views.

8. Have fun!

Cooking! I opened a cookery book! I landed on the word cooking!

So cooking. Mom and me are going to cook this weekend. Not sure what we’ll make yet. We may make a chilli, or some butternut squash and carrot soup.

I have some slimming world recipe books in braille. I told mom I’d call out some of the recipes to her that is when I decide on what to make. That way I am helping too!

I love spending time with mom doing the cooking. We make lovely food, have quality mother daughter time, and most important, I have healthy food to eat for the week!

Now that I’m steadily losing weight again, I wanna keep it that way!

I am going to go now and look through my recipe book, comfort collection! See what comfort food I can come up with to make!

#SoCs-Tired to the bone!

Today I feel exhausted! Despite having gotten a good sleep last night!

I am just, tired to the bone!

I think a nap is in order!

Im reluctant to try to nap though as if I do it will only mess me up for tonight. I’m on a pretty decent sleep schedule nowand I’d like to try to keep it that way!

Maybe I will have an hour later on this afternoon though. I don’t have anything I need to do tomorrow. So if I go to bed late tonight it wont really matter!

Im having a chill out day at home tomorrow! Cant wait! I love days where I can kick back and just relax!

So much for my extra hour? Nitro put an end to that 😛

He was nudging me at 7:30 this morning wanting out!

I really hope they change it here in Europe, so that day light savings time isn’t observed any more!

That would be so awesome if they did!

Just got done eating a nice sunday roast, roast chicken, roast potatos, broccoli and mashed potatos! It was scrumptious if I do say so!

😀

I thoroughly enjoyed it! I even saved some gravy to give to nitro when he’s fed in a little while! Call it a late birthday treat!

My boy deserves a treat! And I have a bone for him for later tonight! He’s spoiled! How it should be though right?

😀

Well I’m off to read some more so catch yall later!

🙂

see ya!

I hope I can do these and do them really well!

So to start I can tell you 3 things I am grateful for right now!

1 My mom! She is an amazing mom to me recently, helping me to get to the gym, helping me shop, etc. Thanks mom!

2 My dog! He brings joy and a smile to my face every day!

3 Heat! I am so grateful that my parents house is warm, that they have central healing!

#Socs oct. 13th: precious

Hi everyone

Hope your all good on this fine Saturday!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is precious. Use it any way you like. Enjoy!

I must say, my little baby nitro is precious to me!
He makes me smile every day. Even on my worst days he makes me smile. I love him sooo much.

He is such a sweet sweet boy. Always ready with a tail wag and a lick for me.

A comforting shake of his paw, a nudge of his wet nose in my arm, a waggly tail that never stops. I love it all.

I love when he comes on my bed at night, and snuggles in close to me. It feels so nice, so comforting, I feel so safe with him there beside me.

Each day I make precious memories with him. Its his birthday later in the month. He’s going to be 8. I dont like that he’s growing older. It makes me nervous so I am going to enjoy the now, enjoy every moment we have together.

Catch ya later peeps!

#socs 5th oct. Cards!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is card. Use it any way you like. Enjoy!
*****
I love getting cards from people. I love when someone gives me any type of card. I love being thought of! It is just such a lovely feeling when you either recieve a greeting card, a birthday card, a card, any card.
This month I have lots of birthday cards to buy! I have my furry babys card to buy too this month, he’s gonna be 8!
Imagine it! 8 years young!
I love to surprise my friends and family with cards that say I am thinking of you or, just because, I love to see how excited they get when I send the cards to them and they arrive through their letterbox!
We also love making cards. We make cards for our therapist and psychiatrist a lot. They love them! They always thank us for them. I think they enjoy the effort we put into making them!
So there you have it, my socs about cards!

#SoCs sept 29th

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is dom. Use it as a word, or find a word that starts or ends with it. Have fun!
****
The first word that popped into my head was…domesticated!
Me, I am not at all domesticated, although, I have learned to do some things over time. Living on my own has taught me a lot!

I have learned that if you leave the dishes, they dont get done! If you dont pick up after yourself, you live in a pigsty!

And I do not like living in a messy house! So I have learned to clean up after myself. 😀

Growing up, my mom and dad didnt teach me a lot of domestic skills. I guess they taught I didnt need to learn them! But I think I did!

In the bording school I went to, we had to do a lot of chores, so that is where I learned most things. I learned to wash dishes, dry dishes, lay a table, sweep floors, etc. I had to, I didnt have any choice in the matter…we had to do them and that was that.

At home I never had to lift a finger. Not until I moved out to live on my own did I have to clean, and then, I grew up fast let me tell ya!

Now though I am glad I can clean, I am glad I can do for myself, yes I do have help, my PA helps me out now, but if I had to do it on my own, I would be able to do most things.
