Blessed are the friends

Blessed are the friends who check on each other.
Blessed are the friends who pray for each other.
Blessed are the friends who support each other.

Blessed are the friends who celebrate
even the tiniest achievements,
and blessed are the friends who show up with dinner
in the middle of a hard situation.

Blessed are the friends who value good conversations,
and make room for differences.
Blessed are the friends who communicate effectively,
and blessed are the friends who don’t let
every little disagreement destroy a relationship.
Blessed are the friends who care enough to work stuff out. Blessed are the friends who forgive each other
and blessed are the friends who apologize
when they screw up and work to make things right.

Blessed are the friends who get each other’s
sense of humors,
and blessed are the friends who go out for chips and salsa on the regular.
Blessed are the friends who make time for each other. Blessed are the friends who work to make it work, and blessed are the friends who treat it like a priority.

Blessed are the friends who speak truth
and blessed are the friends who speak life.

Blessed are the friends who lift up.
Blessed are the friends who encourage,
and cheer for each other, and want to see each other succeed.

Blessed are the friends who keep it real, always,
and don’t require you to walk on eggshells.
Blessed are the friends who let you be yourself.

Blessed are the friends who pick up groceries
for you when you’re out of milk.
Blessed are the friends who show up with Starbucks
every once in a while.

Blessed are the friends who help each other.

Blessed are the friends who give and who stand
with you and who stand up for you when you’re not around. Blessed who keep secrets for each other
and who walk away from nonsense drama and petty gossip.

Blessed are the friends who change each other for the better and blessed are the friends who want the best for each other.
Blessed are the friends who feel like home. Blessed are the friends who do their best to give their best to the people they love the most.

Blessed are the friends who boldly say “sister, I am with you”—when you’re at your lowest, when you’re winning it all and when you’re confused and feeling stuck in the in-between. When you’re happy, when you’re sad, when you’re so tired that you don’t even know how you feel.
Sister, I am with you. Always

Thanks everyone reading this for being our friends!
