Oooooh! Perfect timing …. a ramble coming! I spent about three hours today trying to sort out medical stuff … appointments, insurance, etc etc. This is my idea of sheer purgatory. I loathe admin! Hope you’re well! Katie

My wife woke me up this morning to tell me that our son was just admitted to the psych hospital, suicidal. We knew that last night, but we couldn’t get him to go to the hospital with us for an assessment. Today he was at mental health court, where he’s in a program to get help instead of prison for a drug offense. Something he said to the judge got him committed, which, unfortunately, is a good thing in our opinion. The awkward part was that he took our car to court and we didn’t know where he parked it, and worse, he’d lost one of the keys, so if we found it, we wouldn’t have a key. Fortunately, while we were deciding what to do, an officer of the court called and told us that he had the key and knew where the car was parked. Ian must have asked him to get the key to us, thoughtful.
I’m in a lot of pain, for the last few days, my right arm, shoulder, and neck have been on fire with sore muscles. I’m due for some more Tylenol after I type this.
My sister has had her stem cell transplant and is recovering.
We got the check for Karla’s lawsuit today, the product liability one where she lost her eye. We could have hoped for more, but it gives us just about enough to pay off what we owe on the house, the car, and the loan we took out to bail our son out of jail early this year. Not much left over, but it’ll be nice not having a house or car payment, that’ll really make our finances better.
I’m buying myself a new solid-state hard drive for my computer from Amazon in a few minutes, and I’m buying Karla some Christmas presents at the same time. I’m getting her several shirts, one of which says “Blessed Grandma.” I think she’ll like it.

Yay for presents! I’m sure Carla will love the shirts!

I think I’ve lost track of days and I had dinner for breakfast. Otherwise good. At least, I’m still eating, exercising and showering daily. As well as logging into work. Feels like my verbal skills are slipping a little since it’s me and the cat unless I’m FaceTiming.
