Does anyone know if pingbacks work again?
I wasn’t sure if they were working or not!
I’ve been putting links to my posts on others blogs.
Instead of leaving a link to their blog on my post.
But tonight, I left a couple of links to blogs in my posts, so I’m wondering do pingbacks work or should I keep putting links to my posts on the blogs of the people who run prompts?

I’m not sure what’s going on there but some things come into my notifications and others don’t. I;m wondering if it’s something to do with the device being used. I think I got all of yours today Carol Anne.

You’ve got mine today because I left links in your post. I didn’t actually put a pin back by using a link on my own post. I just copied my link and sent it as a comment you know?

I had a couple pingbacks work on Song Lyric Sunday the other day, but for the most part they are not working. I added some in the comments section of posts that I was responding to and they disappeared, so I gave up.

When I add them manually to post the work, but if I just put a link to the persons blog in my post, they don’t work

I think putting the post into the comment is better anyway, as a pingback only relays to the original writer – a comment potentially relays to any reader of the original post.
