I am sharing the following post from cyranny, if you want the classic wordpress editor to stay, speak up, let your voice be heard, read cyrannys post, and share it, and lets all stand together, and have our voices heard, so that maybe, just maybe wordpress will agree to keep their classic editor, and not make us all move to their new block editor, which, i might add is totally inaccessible for me as a blind blogger.

Yeah, it’s stupid th at they’ll abandon the classic editor. That being said, I have been able to work the block editor with VoiceOver on my iPhone and JAWS on my PC. There’s a classic block in th enew editor that will allow you to basically keep editing as you would. I don’t mean this to condone wordpress retiring the classic editor, but if they do on June 1 anyway, there s hould still be a way for you to keep blogging. I’ll be more than happy to teach you in case you’re considering abandoning your blog.

Thanks Astrid, I’ve seen you can change the classic editor on the iPhone but I’m not sure about the PC but I have a blogging app on my Mac so it’s fine I can still blog 🥰

As I have mentioned on my blog that you have seen Carol, we will still have classic editor to use. So we will all have to click on that option when we blog our post, while block editor is still thrown our way.
But knowing WordPress in a year to come or more, will they still keep it?
Remember also with editor that’s being replaced. It doesn’t seem long ago when they kept playing with that. With changing it to this block editor, all that work they done not long ago just seems pointless and this is why I am hoping they don’t get rid of classic editor in the end, cos we know what they are like for changing things a lately and causing chaos for their readers.
I shall disappear if classic editor goes.
