For her Sunday poser this week, Sadje asks us:

Do you believe in multitasking or doing things mindfully?

Well I multitask a lot.

I am not good at being mindful. I want to be, but I find mindfulness hard.

I am good at multitasking though 😊

I am so easily distracted, I don’t even have ADHD but I just am easily distracted.

I believe if you are able to do things slowly, mindfully, take in your surroundings, be present in the here and now, you’ll be a much happier person.

I just haven’t mastered it yet.

I’ll keep trying, though.

    What a wonderfully honest answer, Carol. I think the tension you describe is something we all feel. Our world rewards multitasking, but our souls crave mindfulness. The beauty is in the awareness and the gentle effort, not in perfection. The fact that you “haven’t mastered it yet” means you’re already on the path. This was a great read
