mountains draped in drifting fog—
a hush before light.
Crowds chase sunrise high—
mountains vanish into fog,
yet selfies persist.

The first poem paints such a serene, almost sacred image—the quiet majesty of mountains at dawn, wrapped in a hushed, drifting fog. It feels like a moment of pure, undisturbed reverence for nature.
Then the second haiku cleverly captures the modern reality, where the same majestic scene becomes a backdrop for our constant documentation. The line “yet selfies persist” is wonderfully observant and speaks volumes about our times.
Together, they form a thoughtful commentary on the different ways we experience and interact with the natural world—both in quiet contemplation and through the lens of shared moments. Lovely work
