This morning, frances and I exchanged Christmas gifts. She is waiting until Christmas day to open hers. But I have no patience, so I went ahead and opened my gift.

She spoiled me!

She bought me a big tin of cadbury’s chocolates, a gift set with body oil, body lotion, hand cream, body wash, etc. in it, and a bottle of Christina Aguillara perfume.

The perfume smells divine!

Then my next door neighbour gave me a 40 euro gift voucher for a grocery store that I shop at.

I feel very blessed!

I decided that I would go to my parents house today, and I’m here now, because I came straight here after my therapy session.

I’m going to be here until January 5th.

Therapy was productive, but extremely exhausting.

I had to pay Eileen for 3 weeks worth of sessions, but last week we never had a session, because my power went out. I did not give her a lot of notice about not showing up, so I was paying her for the session anyway. But she gave me back half the money, she said it was ok, that there really was nothing that I could do if my power was out.

I thanked her and again I felt very blessed.

It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here.

It sounds like you had a truly heartwarming and blessed day, Carol! The gifts from Frances are so thoughtful and luxurious—a perfect way to feel spoiled and celebrated. How wonderful that your neighbor added to that feeling with such a practical and kind gift, too. It’s clear you’re surrounded by caring people.

Your generosity of spirit really shines through, especially in how you appreciate Eileen’s understanding and the comfort of being with family for the holidays. Even though therapy was exhausting, you’re moving forward with grace—and now you get to rest and recharge in a loving space until January.

Wishing you a peaceful, cozy, and joy-filled time at your parents’ home. May the rest of your holiday season be as sweet as those Cadbury chocolates and as lovely as the scent of your new perfume. Enjoy every moment! 🎄✨
