Sen-hai Saturday #30

Soft white hush descends
Pines bow beneath drifting light
Footsteps fade to still

Snow day morning light
Office emails keep arriving
Shovel waits by the door

Snow days. I remember them. Just don’t move to Alaska thinking you will get a bunch of them- because you won’t! No such thing….

We get about 8 feet of snow a year, we have three feet on the ground already and it doesn’t ever melt at all till endo of May if we’re lucky- they just don’t close or cancel anything up here because- Alaska!

Here in Wyoming, there are few snow days. Because it’s Wyoming, where kids wear shorts to school when it’s snowing and chilly-willy.

Carol Anne, the world doesn’t stop for the weather. I enjoy your poetry.
