Hygge

Thank you Reena for this prompt! I had to look up the meaning of the word! Now I know what it is all about!

In the hush of a winter-soft, ember-lit room,
Where candles breathe warmth through the gentle gloom,
There’s a quiet that settles like wool on the air—
A tender reminder that comfort is care.

It’s the clink of warm mugs and the curl of a smile,
A story retold though you’ve heard it awhile,
The blanket that gathers two hands in its hold,
The glow of a moment that never grows old.

Hygge lives softly where heartbeats are slow,
In lamplight that pools like honey-warm glow,
In the peace of enough, in the ease of being—
A small, sacred pause in the rush of all things.

Here, simple is lavish, and stillness is gold.
Here, warmth is a language that never grows cold.
