A Recipe for love

Take one open heart,
softened by sunrise and honest words.
Fold in a handful of laughter—
the kind that rises warm and unexpected.

Add trust, finely chopped,
and patience, slow-simmered
until it glows like evening light.
Season with courage,
a pinch at first, then more.

Stir in two souls
who choose each other daily,
even on storm-cloud afternoons.
Let the mixture rest
in the quiet of shared understanding.

Serve with hope,
garnished in small kindnesses.
And remember:
this recipe has no final draft—
only infinite taste tests
between hearts that keep growing.

I am currently raising money to pay for ongoing psychotherapy. I am a survivor of complex trauma, I have dissociative identity disorder, and complex PTSD.  Therapy can be very expensive.
