“To the well organised mind, death is but the next great adventure”

Whilst Underwater | Thru Violet’s Lentz

Has chosen this literary quote and here is my response to it.

When daylight dims and shadows softly rise,
And mortal breath grows thin within the chest,
A hush descends beneath the paling skies,
Inviting weary hearts to gentle rest.

No tyrant he, though feared in mortal lore—
Death walks with patience, neither swift nor slow;
He waits beside the ever-creaking door
That all must cross when tides of being flow.

Yet in his gaze, a tenderness is found,
A promise whispered through the failing light:
That life, though brief, leaves echoes all around
To guide the lost through never-ending night.

So greet him not with terror, nor with rage,
For Death but turns the frail and fleeting page.

    I love the vision you have of death. I cannot believe anything ascribed to every living thing- could be anything short of a comfort. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration with me. This was very literally enthralling…
