‘Twas Halloween, the moon was fat,
I wore a cape and witchy hat,
The streets were fogged, the stars were dim,
When something ghostly whispered, “Jim…”

Now I’m not Jim, but close enough,
So I replied (to seem real tough),
“Good evening, sir, you’re lookin’ pale—
Did Casper lose you in the veil?”

He drifted close, all cold and swirly,
His hair a bit… let’s say unruly,
His chain went clink, his eyes went boo,
He said, “I’m here to haunt—how ‘bout you?”

I told him, “Nah, I’m just out trickin’,
For Reese’s cups and pumpkin pickin’.”
He sighed, “They don’t make ghosts like me,
I scared folks once—in 1893!”

He tried to moan, it came out squeaky,
His ectoplasm looked quite leaky,
He said, “You kids don’t fear no more,
You film us, post us, and ask for more!

So I took a selfie (what a scene!)
With my translucent Halloween,
He grinned and said, “You know, you’re cool—
Next year, I’ll haunt your comment pool.”

Now every Halloween, it’s true,
My photos ghost themselves anew—
And if you zoom, you just might see,
Old Jim still photobombing me.

Thank you for reading, liking, and commenting to my posts.  It is very appreciated.

I am currently raising money to pay for ongoing psychotherapy. I am a survivor of complex trauma, I have dissociative identity disorder, and complex PTSD.  Therapy can be very expensive.

If you feel like donating to my fund you can donate using pay pal. My pay pal email for donating is:

Don’t feel you have to, there is no pressure, but I’m grateful for any donations that are received.

Again thanks for visiting!
