Three Things Challenge #MM178 | pensitivity101

The past hums low, a storm behind my eyes,
lightning splits the silence—
a flash of memories,
childhood etched in fragments,
where innocence was fragile glass.

Trauma does not vanish;
it lingers like thunder
rolling long after the strike.
Yet healing is a quiet river,
softening stone with time,
carving a journey from pain to breath.

My story is not just scars—
it is survival,
the steady turning of darkness
into dawn.
Each step forward whispers:
I am more than what broke me.
I am what remains,
and what begins again.

This is a powerful and moving testament to resilience. It beautifully captures the lingering presence of trauma while affirming the quiet, persistent strength of healing. The final lines are a particularly potent declaration of self, transforming the narrative from one of damage to one of enduring and beginning anew.

Thank you for reading, liking, and commenting to my posts.  It is very appreciated.

I am currently raising money to pay for ongoing psychotherapy. I am a survivor of complex trauma, I have dissociative identity disorder, and complex PTSD.  Therapy can be very expensive.

If you feel like donating to my fund you can donate using pay pal. My pay pal email for donating is:

Don’t feel you have to, there is no pressure, but I’m grateful for any donations that are received.

Again thanks for visiting!
