This week for stream of consciousness Saturday our prompt from Linda G Hill is “Starts with ho”
I wrote a poem this week.
Here it is, happy Saturday everyone!
How
do you measure the weight of a thought—
by its silence,
its speed,
or the shadow it leaves behind?
Why
does the mind sometimes whisper kindness,
and other times
shout storms at the self?
When
does worry become a wall
instead of a window,
and who holds the key?
Where
can rest be found
when even sleep feels crowded
with echoes and unrest?
What
does healing look like—
is it a steady climb,
a circling path,
or the simple act
of asking these questions aloud?
