Breathe in the silence

Breathe in forgiveness

Forgiveness for the ache

Forgiveness for the trembling

Trembling at midnight

Trembling in sunlight

Sunlight finds the cracks

Sunlight warms the wounds

Wounds that ask for mending

Wounds that beg for hope

Hope like the first rain

Hope like gentle hands

Hands that cradle sorrow

Hands that plant seeds

Seeds beneath the rubble

Seeds of song and light

Light spilling through curtains

Light on closed eyelids

Eyelids flutter with dreams

Eyelids heavy with night

Night remembers pain

Night remembers longing

Longing for peace

Longing for softness

Softness where memory lingers

Softness where scars fade

Fade into laughter

Fade into morning

Morning brings new breath

Morning brings new choices

Choices to begin

Choices to forgive

Forgive the old story

Forgive the heavy burdens

Burdens once carried

Burdens laid down

Down near the river

Down among wildflowers

Wildflowers in tangled grass

Wildflowers in open hands

Hands that open gently

Hands that let go

Go forward with whispers

Go forward with song

Song for the weary

Song for the broken

Broken can be beautiful

Broken can be whole

Whole in the sunlight

Whole in the shadow

Shadow never lasting

Shadow melts to day

Day for healing

Day for resting

Resting among sunlight

Resting among memories

Memories like rivers

Memories like mirrors

Mirrors show the healing

Mirrors hold the tears

Tears that water gardens

Tears that cleanse the soul

Soul made of starlight

Soul made of earth

Earth beneath bare feet

Earth beneath new roots

Roots that reach deeper

Roots that hold firm

Firm in the storm

Firm in the stillness

Stillness for listening

Stillness for growth

Growth in the darkness

Growth in the dawn

Dawn stretches golden

Dawn opens wide

Wide as forgiveness

Wide as the sky

Sky after thunder

Sky after rain

Rain on closed windows

Rain on open hearts

Hearts that keep beating

Hearts that remember

Remember the journey

Remember the healing

Healing is a circle

Healing is a path

Path made of footsteps

Path made of trust

Trust in tomorrow

Trust in the turning

Turning of seasons

Turning of tides

Tides that return

Tides that recede

Recede the old pain

Recede the old fear

Fear is a shadow

Fear is a teacher

Teacher of strength

Teacher of grace

Grace in forgiveness

Grace in beginning

Beginning again

Beginning anew

Anew under sunlight

Anew under stars

Stars that sing softly

Stars that guide home

Home in your body

Home in your bones

Bones strong with living

Bones strong with love

Love like water

Love like breath

Breath in the silence

Breath in forgiveness

Forgiveness in the ache

Forgiveness in the trembling

Trembling at midnight

Trembling in sunlight

Sunlight in the wounds

Sunlight in the mending

Mending the night

Mending the longing

Longing for peace

Longing for softness

Softness where memory lingers

Softness where scars fade

Fade into laughter

Fade into morning

Morning brings new breath

Morning brings new choices

Choices to begin

Choices to forgive

Forgive the old story

Heavy with memory

Memory like a river

Memory like a mirror

Mirror of healing

Mirror of tears

Tears that water gardens

Tears that cleanse

Cleanse the soul

Cleanse the ache

Ache becoming softer

Ache becoming light

Light spilling in

Light always returns

Return to healing

Return to hope

Hope in the morning

Hope in the heart

Heart that keeps beating

Heart that remembers

Remember to begin

Remember to breathe

Breathe in the silence

Breathe in forgiveness…
