Sen-hai Saturday (13)

Thanks to Susi for hosting this great challenge.

SenHai Saturday #13 – I Write Her

Silent forest breathes—
a great mushroom lifts its head
through damp, dreaming earth.

Swollen cap of dusk—
pushing moss with quiet pride,
it claims the still wood.

I don’t know if I’m interpreting the lines correctly, but my take away of the last line of the first and the first of the second one, metaphorically describe the hallucinatory and toxic aspects of the mushroom. So, if I’m incorrect, my bad, but if not, brilliant way of saying it, Carol Anne!
