For the visually challenged reader, this image shows a stack of books the spine and title of the books are hidden from view. The books are arranged in
When I open a book and slip inside,
A world unfolds, both far and wide.
The pages whisper, soft and true,
Of distant lands and skies so blue.
Each sentence sings a quiet song,
That carries all my thoughts along.
With every word, I’m lifted high—
A dragon’s wing, a lullaby.
I’ve danced with stars, I’ve sailed the sea,
All while the real world waits for me.
No passport stamped, no shoes to tie,
Just ink and dreams to let me fly.
When thunder rolls or skies are gray,
A book can chase the clouds away.
Its comfort wraps me like a hug,
A cozy chair, a blanket snug.
Adventures bloom from every page,
Wisdom passed from age to age.
Heroes rise and villains fall,
And I am part—I’ve lived it all.
So when the world feels loud or tight,
I find a story, take a flight.
For every time I’ve understood—
It’s true: Reading makes me feel good.
