Our words today are father, rather, further.

Three Things Challenge #MM73 | pensitivity101
My father stood where shadows fall,
A quiet strength, so broad, so tall.
He spoke in deeds, not words of flair—
A presence felt, just always there.
He’d guide me not with loud command,
But with a firm and gentle hand.
And when I’d fail or lose my way,
He’d smile and softly say, "That’s okay."
I’d chase the world, go rather far,
Beyond the hills, beneath each star.
But distance couldn’t dim the flame—
A father’s love still called my name.
And now I stand, a woman grown older,
Life’s winds around me, harsher, colder.
Yet in my heart, I still refer
To him, to find what truths endure.
For every step I take is further,
A march through joy, through grief, through wonder.
But always with me, come what may—

Talk to me! I love comments!
