FOWC With Fandango — Hiker – Facts, Fictions & Fantasies
Chloe was a very well-seasoned hiker. She’d scaled the Rockies in snowstorms and trekked through the Andes with nothing but a tarp and trail mix. But today’s climb felt different. The forest was quiet—too quiet. Her boots crunched over frost-laced leaves as fog curled through the pines like ghostly fingers.
She paused at a twisted oak, its bark scorched black. Her map, usually reliable, marked nothing unusual, yet a strange symbol was carved into the tree—a spiral surrounded by dots. She touched it, curious.
Suddenly, the ground shifted. A hidden path opened beneath her feet, revealing stone steps leading underground. Against instinct, Chloe descended. Each step echoed with stories untold. As her headlamp flickered on, ancient murals danced across the walls—scenes of hikers, just like her, lost in time.
Chloe grinned. This wasn’t just a hike anymore—it was the beginning of an adventure no map could chart.
