Thanks Christine for hosting simply six minutes! Our picture this week is of a bull mastiff and a yorkie, together in a dog house.

Simply 6 Minutes – Welcome to the Challenge: 04/29/2025 – Stine Writing

In a doghouse snug beneath the sky,
Lived a Yorkie small and a Mastiff high.
One was fluff with a bark so bold,
The other a giant, gentle and old.

The Yorkie ruled with a royal flair,
Wore pink bows in her silky hair.
She’d strut on paws so dainty and neat,
While the Mastiff just followed, calm and sweet.

He’d guard their home with a sleepy eye,
Letting out yawns that could shake the sky.
But when the mail came down the road,
The Yorkie charged like a tiny toad!

They’d nap in piles when day grew dim,
Her snuggled tight on top of him.
Like spoon and bowl, a perfect pair—
Big ol’ brute and fluff of flair.

So if you pass their yard one day,
You’ll hear them snore or see them play.
A mismatched team, yet best of friends,
In a doghouse built where love never ends. 🐾
