Jim Adams is our host for Thursday inspiration, and this week he’s given us the prompt word tree to work with, so, here is my poem that I came up with based on the word tree.
Thursday Inspiration #274 Misty – A Unique Title For Me
In springtime’s tender, golden light,
The trees awake from winter’s night.
Their branches stretch, the buds unfold,
A promise whispered, soft and bold.
The air is filled with scents so sweet,
As blossoms kiss the earth beneath.
Green leaves flutter, dance, and play,
Inviting birds to come and stay.
Each trunk, once bare, now wears a crown,
Of vibrant hues that paint the town.
Their roots are deep, their spirits high,
As petals fall and birds take flight.
The breeze hums softly through the glade,
As every leaf a song is made.
And through the forest, wild and free,
The trees in spring sing endlessly.
