Thanks Sadje for the prompt!

For the visually challenged reader, this image shows a young boy – 7-8 years old, with a cloth duster in his hand, erasing something off a blackboard. In the background, we can perceive the environment of a classroom.

And this is my response…

In a classroom bright, with sunlight’s glow,

A little boy named Timmy sits, aglow,

His backpack bursting, lunchbox in hand,

Ready for learning, the day’s adventures planned.

With laughter and chatter, the morning begins,

As pencils are sharpened, the school day spins,

But there at the front, with chalk dust in air,

Timmy sees something—needs a little care.

The blackboard is calling, a message unclear,

A jumble of numbers, but Timmy’s not mere,

With courage assembled, and heart full of cheer,

He rises to tackle what others may fear.

Dusting his palms on his denim blue jeans,

He fetches a cloth—worn, with a sheen,

And up on his tiptoes, he reaches so high,

To wipe off the muddles that caught his sharp eye.

Each stroke tells a story, of knowledge set free,

The words come to life as he sweeps with glee,

He giggles a little, thinking, "How fun!

What wonders await when this task is done!"

And as he removes the remnants of chalk,

He dreams of adventures beyond the school walk,

Of stars in the sky, of rockets, and more—

A world full of magic just waiting to score.

With a final fresh swipe, the board gleams anew,

Timmy steps back, with a twinkle, a view,

A clean slate for learning, for laughter, a chance,

For dreams that take flight, in an eager young dance.
