Mira stood at the edge of the cliff, the ocean crashing below, a chaotic symphony of foam and salt. It was supposed to be a benefit for the community, a fundraiser to save the lighthouse, but the weight of the moment felt heavier than any cause. She took a deep breath, heart racing, and thought of the children who would lose their beach if the lighthouse fell to ruin.

With a resolute step forward, she adjusted the fundraiser banner, its bright colors flapping in the wind, and smiled at her friends who were setting up. They all shared a vision for their town, a bond stronger than the waves that threatened to erode it, and in that shared purpose, she found her courage. As the first guests arrived, she whispered a silent promise to the sea: "Together, we will protect this."

I do like “…a chaotic symphony of foam and salt.”, Carol anne.

If Mira’s will is strong enough, she’ll convince others in her cause and hopefully, success will be theirs.
