In shadows deep where worries creep,
A trembling heart begins to seep,
The whispers of a lurking pain,
A fleeting thought that taunts the sane.
Each step a dance upon the edge,
Of fragile dreams—a broken pledge,
A crack in bone, a tear in skin,
The specter waits, a thickening grin.
The echoes of the past resound,
In every stumble, every bound,
The fleeting splendor of the chase,
Cloaked in dread, a haunting face.
The laughter of youth, so wild and free,
Now tempered by possibility,
Of slips and falls, of bruised resolve,
A tolling bell no heart can solve.
Yet in the fear, a lesson found,
A courage formed on shaky ground,
For even in the chance of pain,
There lies the strength to rise again.
So let the shadows softly fall,
Embrace the risk, the rise, the call,
For though the fear may twist and tear,
The heart beats on, beyond despair.
