O, rain, thou art a wondrous thing,
That brings life to the parched earth’s ring,
With gentle touch, thou dost revive,
And with thy sweetness, all the land doth thrive.
Thy droplets fall, like diamonds bright,
Upon the ground, in rhythmic beat,
A soothing melody, so pure and light,
That calms the soul, and soothes the heat.
Thy fragrance fills the air, so sweet,
Of blooming flowers, and trees so green,
The scent of life, in every petal treat,
A symphony, that’s heard unseen.
Thou bringest forth, the hidden might,
Of earth and stone, in all thy might,
The dry and barren lands, now green and bright,
As if by magic, brought to new light.
Thy voice, a whispered promise, low and sweet,
Of hope and renewal, in each repeat,
A gentle reminder, of life’s sweet treat,
In every drop, a promise to greet.
Oh, rain, thy beauty we adore,
In every form, thy glory we explore,
In every cloud, thy majesty unfold,
In every drop, a story to be told.
Thy song, a lullaby, to the earth below,
A serenade, of life and growth to grow,
A symphony of wonder, of life’s great show,
A performance, that’s played by thee alone.
So let us cherish thee, dear rain,
For all that thou dost bring to our plain,
And in thy song, our spirits regain,
The joy of life, in all thy rain.
