Life, an open book, yet to be written
A journey of twists and turns, of ups and downs
Where healing is the goal, but the path is long and winding
The sky above is cloudy, dark and grey
Reflecting the mood that I’m in today
Racing thoughts, a never-ending stream
Depression’s heavy chains, weighing me down, it seems
But I will persevere, I will find a way
To cope with this darkness, to face another day
I will rise above the clouds, I will shine
And find my way back to the light, back to my true self, I’ll be fine
For life is a journey, not a destination
And healing is a process, not a cure
It’s a journey of growth, of learning and of change
And with each step, I’ll find my way back to my own range.
