I like to knit
But I’m not good at it
I can only do plain stitch
No pearl, or fancy stuff
I’ve got plenty of balls of wool
I keep buying more than a few
I’m well stocked up
Now to just use it
To make something fun.
Knitting distracts me
It keeps my hands busy.
I can make a simple thing
Like a scarf
Or a dishcloth
But not much more
Still, I’m glad, I can knit
I’m glad I learned how to accomplish it.
