In the attic, hidden away,
Lies a chest of memories, timeworn and Gray.
Each item tells a story, of days long past,
Of love and loss, of shadows cast.
The timeworn pages of a book,
Hold secrets within, if you dare to look.
The wrinkles on a face, etched with time,
Tell tales of joy and sorrow, in rhythm and rhyme.
Timeworn buildings, standing tall,
Witness to history, they’ve seen it all.
Their walls whisper secrets of days gone by,
Of laughter and tears, under the same sky.
So let us cherish the timeworn things,
For they hold the wisdom that life brings.
In their cracks and crevices, beauty lies,
A testament to the passage of time.
Written for Sue W and GC’S weekend prompt, the word for this weekend is time worn.
