Written from a guide dog’s point of view…
I guide with precision,
Through streets and alleys, my mission.
Blind but not lost, I lead the way,
Granting independence every day.
Playing fetch, a joyful task,
Bringing smiles, no need to ask.
A juicy bone, a tasty treat,
Dog food and treats, all so sweet.
Loyal and loving, I’m always near,
A companion to hold dear.
Friendship forged through trust and care,
Together we make a perfect pair.
Our challenge this week was to write a poem from the point of view of an object, so I chose my dog. I don’t have him any longer, but if I did, this is what he’d say in his poem!
