Yesterday after dinner my sister took my mom, me and her son to Blarney!
Blarney castle and gardens was all done up for Christmas.
It was amazing. We didn’t go until after 3 PM because you had to be there when it was almost dark, to get the full effect.
We took lots of photos and made wonderful memories.
We drank hot chocolate and my nephew got a gingerbread man cookie, and I got a snowman cookie.
We sat by a log fire and took in all the festivities.
There was lovely Christmas songs playing in the background.
After all that we went to browse around the Blarney woolinmills store, it is a very expensive store, that sells clothes, furniture, trinkets, odds and ends, gifts, etc. I didn’t buy anything there.
Mom wanted to buy me a Claddagh ring but they only had a size 8.5 and I would’ve needed a size 9 so I told her not to buy it as it was 50 euro for the ring.
I am so glad we got to spend the afternoon celebrating the Christmas season. I was feeling very happy. My mom felt good, this time last year she was in hospital and we couldn’t do any celebrating or making happy memories with each other.
