Hi

This week I am participating in the weekend coffee share blog hop!

It has been some time since I did one of these. Anyway, come on in, sit down, I have tea, coffee, iced coffee, water, and juice on offer. Lets have a bit of a catch up!

First off, I’d tell you that Ireland and South Africa are playing a rugby match in the rugby world cup tonight, which my parents are both watching. So far, Ireland are winning!

I really hope they do win the match!

I’d also tell you that since getting home from my sisters house earlier today, I’ve drank about 5 cups of coffee! Yikes!

I’ll probably have no chance of sleeping tonight now.

If we were having coffee, I’d also tell you that I am looking forward to tomorrow. Mom is cooking a roast for dinner. We’ll have roast chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes, vegetables, and gravy.

Yummy! I cant wait!

If we were drinking coffee, I’d tell you that I won two auctions on E-Bay. They were auctions for DVD’S. I collect them, lol. I have thousands, and am running out of space.

What I do is, I rip the movies to my PC, and then I put them on an external hard drive, so that they are more accessible to me.

If we were having coffee, I’d also tell you that I am currently watching an amazing program on TV. Its about the neonatal unit at our local hospital, it is called, born too soon, and it follows families whose babies were born premature.

Its been on for the last 4 weeks, and it is so good!

I myself was a premature baby, I was born at 27 weeks.

If we were sipping coffee, and maybe eating some cookies, I’d also tell you that I hate the fact that winter is on its way. I am so not looking forward to storms, rain, wind, ice and snow.

If we were having coffee I’d mention too that today I wrote lots of poems. I love writing. It is so therapeutic for me. I enjoy putting my thoughts into a poem.

I’d also mention that I am trying to decide what book I want to start reading, and I can’t decide, lol. I have way too many books to choose from, I’m a bookworm, what can I say!

Well, that is about it for this weekend coffee share, I hope you’ve all had a great weekend.

Wow! I have learned things about you that I didn’t know. We have some more things in common. You had mentioned you were a preme, my oldest daughter was a preme. She was born 6 weeks early and almost didn’t survive. Her lungs weren’t fully developed. She was 4lbs 12oz…. Although you were born much earlier than my daughter but God has a plan and purpose for you because you survived and are thriving in life 🥰💕

I myself also love coffee. As far as trying to find a good book to read, what kinds of things do you like to read? I have read many books, I may be able to suggest a good book….I like reading mystery books, romance books, scary books,…. basically anything that catches my attention within the first chapter.

As far as writing poetry, I’m sure as you have noticed I have been writing more poems than I have blogs lol. Writing my feelings in poetry form is a Passion of mine and is relaxing. It requires alot of thought and it takes my mind to different places other than my own worries, stress, and anxiousness.

That programme would be rather interesting regarding the babies born too soon and their miraculous role they play in looking after these babies to help them survive. I have seen documentaries before on this.

Yes, autumn is on its way. I like autumn. But I don’t like winter much.

If we we having coffee, I would be sharing a slice of my pumpkin bread I made with you andvsharing how the rest of my day was mostly watching dvd’s, but I had another job to do inside my home too.

Today is a relaxing day. It will be dvd’s mostly today.
Enjoy your dinner. I shall be having I think a jacket potato with tuna, salad, dairy-free cheese and garlic mayo.

I watched Season 14 of NCIS: Los Angeles. Then watched a film called The Indian Runner.
I am now rewatching The Mentalist.

That program about the NICU sounds so intriguing. If you’re looking for a book with a similar theme, I recommend For the Love of Babies by Sue Hall. It’s about ten years old so not sure it’s available on Apple Books or Kindle as an accessible book. I bought it way back when you could still read any DRM-protected EPUB file using Adobe Digital Editions.

Poetry writing is great too. I love it but am no good at it.

It’s available on Apple Books as a regular book (forgot to check whether there’s an audiobook too). I don’t have Audible so can’t check that.
