My dad is not well, but he isn’t very receptive to the idea that he’s ill.
He’s very stubborn.
We keep telling him to go to the doctor, that he needs to be going to his GP more often.
He has colitis, ulcerative colitis.
And its getting worse but he is playing it down.
He went to his gp once, and got laxatives, but he played down his symptoms.
He should be advocating for himself so he can be put on the right meds.
But nope, he’d rather suffer, and drive us all mad in the process.
There’s no talking to him! If you do try to say something, he blows up.
So it isn’t worth it.
He’s going for a colonoscopy on the 4th of July, and I hope they’ll give him some answers then.
