Habits

I am a creature of habit. I like to do certain things every morning. And every evening too. Some things that I always do or do every day are:

  1. Make coffee first thing after I wake up
  2. Shower, well, on most days I do but if I am very depressed then I skip it.
  3. Read…I make time for reading every day.
  4. Write. I blog every day. I also try to make a gratitude list daily.
  5. Exercise, I do this in the morning now, and that seems to work better for me.
  6. I eat mostly the same types of food every day and I buy the same groceries every week.
  7. Volunteer. When I volunteer I do it usually in the mornings, around the same time which is usually around noon.
  8. Call my mom, I typically phone her a few times per day. We talk every day.

    You have very good habits! I wish I did. I am trying to develop a daily routine to make the best use of by time and reduce my anxiety. Often, I get anxious when I d on’t know what tasks I should do – or what I can do on any given day. When very anxious I get next to nothing done. I become stuck in my chair. I recently have scheduled time in the morning to read some devotionals and pray. (Mind you, at this time, I am still questioning whether or not there is such a being.) It often results in me having clarity about which things I should handle that day. Also, I get a sense of what i am capable of doing that day. Anyway, just thought I would give you kudos and let you know you made me feel like I am on the right path.
