When did you get online, and get connected to the internet? And, what did you use the internet for initially?

1980, in college. This was well before the World Wide Web, the internet was mostly used for email, Usenet (sort of like message boards), and software downloads. I used it on school computers, I didn’t have internet access at work for about 10 years after that, and soon after that, I got it at home, in the early 1990s.

When did you get online, and get connected to the internet? And, what did you use the internet for initially?
1997 l got my first desktop computer and it was dial up back then and it was in the same year l was connected. I used my desktop for business and mostly online was for surfing.
