I drag my tired body out of bed
It needs a kick into gear
First things first
I flip the switch
On the coffee pot
The aroma of hot coffee
Making me salivate
The smell wafting through my kitchen
Once the coffee is made
I drag myself to the fridge
I prepared breakfast last night
I munch on my fruit salad, with yogurt on top
And think of my morning ahead
What inspiring thing
Can I do for others today?
I know, I think
I can smile!
A smile spreads happiness, kindness
Smiles are free
So today
I will spread a smile
wherever I go!
