Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is lid. Use it in the literal sense, use it in the metaphorical sense, use it any way youd like. Have fun!

Keep a lid on it is something my mom used to always say to me as a kid! I was a loud mouth, lol. I’d shout instead of talking in a low voice.

Keep a lid on it, and use your indoor voice were two of her favourite sayings to say to me!

I never listened though!

When I’d get excited I was worse. I’d get really annoying then, or so she said!

I’d use a high pitched voice, and squeal and make a lot of noise!

Thank god I grew out of it!

Now I never use a high pitched voice, and I rarely shout! Something would have to really irritate me to make me yell loudly!

    Funny but I don’t know if I have ever used the phrase with a person! Well with an animal either..

        Yes there is, you have to go into the dashboard and then into settings and there is a way to post via email you have to set it up but you get a specific email address and you can post directly using that address

        One thing I absolutely despise is when people tell other people – “shut up”. I always told my students there are more polite ways to tell someone you don’t want to hear them!

        Yes I agree, they definitely are other more polite ways to say that you don’t want to hear someone ❤️❤️

        I was able to post via email and change my display name. Yay.         You can change the blog to private in settings then reading and in there there is a check box to says I would like my site to be private just click that and then save the changes
