The event was huge. Zara felt she had to go to it, she felt she owed it to her sister, like it was her duty.
Her sister had been ill for months now. Zara was unsure if she was going to pull through.
This event was to raise funds so she could have a big operation.
Zara was asked to help organise it, she felt obliged, since her sister was so ill, and her sisters husband was useless at these sort of things.
It turned out to be a huge success. They raised over 20.000 euros!
Zara was stunned! People were so generous, she thought.
When the chips were down, people really showed their true colours.
After the event ended, Zara exchanged words with her sisters husband, he said he’d make a speech to thank everyone for their generosity, and zara said she would also speak on her sisters behalf.
The next day arrangements were made for her sister to fly to america to have her major operation.
And, it was a big success! In the end, she made it through it, and she recovered from the illness that threatened to end her life.
