Do you like christmas cake? For us thats fruit cake, is it the same for those in the USA and canada? Is christmas cake called fruit cake there?

We call it fruitcake in the US. Like Ashley Leia, I’ve never cared for it either.

Yours must be fresher with tastier dried fruit than the ones I’ve eaten. (with stale, artificially flavored, bitter fruit bits)

Do not like fruit cake. A friend of my mother’s who is a priest, brings her a fruit cake every time he visits. She puts it in the community fridge at the nursing home she’s in hoping someone will eat it, lol.

Used to hate fruit cake, but the ones I’ve tried in the last few years have been delicious and moist! I love a well made one now. I always pick off the marzipan and icing and eat that first, then delve into the fruit cake. I meant to have a go at my own this year and just didn’t get round to it!
