Don’t be dependent on others to meet your needs. They’ll let you down every time. And that’s because meeting your needs is not their job – that’s yours.

True, but hard to actually live by when you have special needs. It is a rough balance.

This resonates mainly because I am so hard wired for quid pro quo- if I am making sacrifices and ignoring what is important to me to meet the needs of others, I have the wrong idea that they should do what satisfies me in return. In practice it is an always losing practice and I try to remind myself it’s not their job to make me happy nor mine to make them happy but..Think even the most rebellious of us have a people pleaser instinct, even if only because it makes our own lives easier when others are happy.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. Long as I keep learned when I don’t when, guess I am not too far gone yet.

If you feel like donating to my fund you can donate using pay pal. My pay pal email for donating is:
Don’t feel you have to, there is no pressure, but I’m grateful for any donations that are received.
