So I got no sleep last night. I’ve been worrying about a rash I found. I found a rash underneath my breasts, its red and angry looking. Its itchy now too, which is wasnt last night. I asked on my did email group and some friends told me it could be yeast growing, or it could be the washing detergent I am using or who knows, but I guess it could be a million and one things. All I know is that underneath my breasts is sore, tender to the touch, and red and angry looking. I put medicated powder on it before bed last night, its called caldesine powder. It dried it out, but this morning its still there. So I asked mom, and she gave me the name of an antifungal cream used to treat bacterial infection in the skin. I’m not sure thats what it is, but it cant hurt to try it out. I cant go get it today, but I’ll have my PA Frances pick it up for me tomorrow. In the meantime I’ll put that medicated powder that I have on it. Has anyone ever had anything like this? What did you do to fix it and what did it end up being? I’m pretty sure its from a build up of sweat. I do shower every day, and I always dry myself well afterwords. So I am really not sure why this is happening. I was beginning to get really anxious, I thought I may have bed bugs, or some sort of illness, but its just in one small area and not spreading, so I dont think its anything like that. Alls I can say is thank god for mom! Mom helped alleviate my fears!

It’s going to be ok. If its been hotter there and sweaty, or if you are sensitive to detergent, it can happen. I usually use a product called “silky underwear” from lush every day to keep that area dry.

Having boobs is such a blessing and a curse! Itll clear up soon enough. Let the area air out and keep it dry.

Carol Anne, I have exactly the same thing right now. I have had it for a few months. It is a fungal infection. I too bathe every day and wash the area thiriughly and dry it. It is red and angry too, and weeps as well. I used Canesten cream in a tube and it gets rid of it for a couple of weeks, then it comes back. The doctor gave me a spray to put under there that dries hardish, and stops your skin rubbing together. It keeps the area dry. I have not tried it yet so I will let you know what happens. It is a horrible thing to have and it smells bad too. If yours doesn’t go, I should go to your doctor. Oh, I meant to say that you have to use the Canesten cream, that you can buy from the chemist without anprescription, for ten days to make sure it has gone. You have to put it on twice a day. I haven’t been wearing a bra because of it, and I hate that. Makes me look awful. Please let me know how you get on Carol Anne. It is not bed bugs! Bless you xoxo

Hi Lorraine, well, I got e-45 cream, hydrocortisone cream. And I am using that, and so far its taking the redness away, but I will use it for 7-10 days. Its so painful!

I know what you’re talking about, as I get this every so often, too. I have a prescription powder that I use, and it clears up pretty fast. Had to use some today, myself.

I guess it could be the sweat. Or maybe you have irritable skin and not wearing the right kind of bra, or maybe it is some detergent you’re using indeed, lots of people are allergic to that. I’d keep an eye on that and I guess the anti-fungal cream shouldn’t hurt indeed, but if you’ll still be worried perhaps you should get it checked by your GP. I hope it goes away soon.

It could be any of those things! I got some e-45 steroid cream, and so far it seems to work! Yay!
