I like some of them, but I’d rather read the books. 🙂

I’m not sure I really fit in answering this question, but I wanted to show my support. As someone who doesn’t have a dissociative disorder….here’s my answer. Maybe it offers a different point of view.
It’s where it get’s a little funny and tricky because I’m a criminal justice major and I have seen all kinds of stuff, but there’s some shows I can watch and some I can not. For example I used to really love the show criminal minds, but then suddenly I couldn’t deal with the show. It’d give me major anxiety to the point I couldn’t sleep. Which is funny considering what I’ve seen and what I know. However, shows like SUV and Blue Bloods….no issues at all.

I enjoy watching them, but to learn more about the psychology behind how people think. That’s another reason why I’m looking so forwarad to Season 2 of Mindhunter coming back next weekend.

I watch them way too much. My husband thinks I’m gathering too much information; he feels threatened, lol. There are triggers, of course, but I think ultimately, it’s wanting to know what goes on in a perpetrator’s mind that draws me.

I’m not a fan of crime shows or crime stories, whether true crime or fiction, and I don’t watch that much TV at all. They don’t normally upset/trigger me very much, unless there’s something really graphic relating to some of my strongest anxieties or phobias. Sometimes I will watch them if the topic is for some specific reason interesting for me.

Depends. Some crimes are hard for me to watch, others not so much. It’s always hard for me when a wife kills her husband or a child, because if you can’t trust the person you life with, whom can you trust?
