Here is my response to this quote.

Does That Count?

If you’re happy in a dream, does that count—
when moonlit joy outshines the day,
when laughter lives in weightless scenes
the morning light can’t take away?

If your heart beats softer in that world
where nothing’s lost and no one leaves,
where every hope is feather-born
and stitched in silver to your sleeves—

Is that a lie, or is it truth
that only midnight minds can see?
Is borrowed bliss still bliss at all
if it dissolves by half-past three?

I think it counts—those drifting smiles,
those places waking cannot steal.
For dreams are real in their own ways,
and happiness is happiness,
no matter how unreal it feels.
